Keri's Website Obsessed with music from a young age, Keri Fletcher dreamed of being a vocalist ever since her first grade school solo in 1985. However, it wasn't until 1996 at her first local karaoke performance, when spectators made her realize she was “good at this singing thing“ that she finally really decided that she absolutely needed to perform professionally. It was no longer a choice, but a driving force. Keri has been performing professionally since 1999, when she first appeared with Human Nature, a Top 40 dance band, at Asian Garden in Beaverton, Oregon. She continued to perform with them (a.k.a. Hi-Fashion and Element) at Asian Garden and Club Underground off and on through 2003. In the meantime, she also sang lead and backup vocals with the classic and original rock band Yesterdaze Child in 2000 and 2001. Yesterdaze Child's media appearances include articles in the local publication, Positively Entertainment & Dining and performances on the television show, Wing It. Venues the band appeared at include 45th Street Pub, Bleachers, Conan's Pub, Copperstone, Dublin Pub, Eddie's, Jungle Room, and Rogue Pub. Keri was credited as a vocalist on Y.C.s CD, produced by Red Carpet Studios. Later, Keri also competed in some vocal competitions, garnering herself third, second, and first place wins in various local competitions. Nevertheless, she soon discovered that vocal competitions were of little interest and fulfillment to her, and she yearned for the rush and connection of live performances. So began Keri's hunt for another cohesive band family. As a result of her search, from September 2003 through occasional fill-ins in November 2003, Keri became involved with the band, Self-Conscious (later called Dirty Angel), a group inspired by rock covers.
Then, in January 2004 it happened! Keri was approached by two former band members, Paul DeLano and Rex Beard, who she knew from their collaboration in Yesterdaze Child. She was ecstatic to have the opportunity to perform with them again, as they worked well together. Thus, the original rock and cover band Lip Service was born. Lip Service's original songs, recorded by Izabella's Canvas Recording in 2005 are available for online listening at each website (www.LipServiceInc.com). Whether she is belting out soulful Aretha Franklin, gripping and meaningful Journey, the rock stylings of Pat Benatar, some angry Alanis, an emotional rendition of by 4 Non-Blondes, or one of Lip Service's own powerful original creations, Keri's obsession with music is passionately expressed in her live performances and is not to be missed.
